Chica Bands is a huge supporter of female athletes, athletes in training and active women and girls worldwide. Running is a big part of our lives at Chica Bands and we are proud and happy to share that love of running and a healthy lifestyle with the younger generation!
In an effort to show our support, we periodically choose a group, team, or event, whose goals are aligned with ours, to sponsor with our support, as well as our fabulous product.
The Junior Bobcats, located in Cincinnati, are now one of our proudly sponsored groups. The Bobcats offer a running program for girls in the 7th and 8th grade. Their goal is to introduce young athletes to long distance running and the sport of cross country, building athletic skills and confidence, as well as some awesome young runners! Good luck to the Junior Bobcats!

Chica Bands is proud to be a sponsor of the 2013 Ultra Sports, LLC Ultra Marathon series. The Keys 100 Ultra is the final event of the year and the biggie of all ultras! The race is set in the beautiful Florida Keys and has an event/race for everyone – 50-miler, 100-miler, and 100-mile relay. It is one of our favorite races every year put on by Bob Becker and his team of precision experts. Always well done:)
The Keys 100 Ultra kicks off on Saturday morning! Can’t wait! Team Chica is ready to go… Commander-in-Chica Meg Perez will be running the 50-miler again this year.. This is one of the most beautiful races we’ve been a part of. A great first ultra.. with an offering of a 100-mile relay team opportunity. See you there:)

This race and expo are one of the best organized, sharply run events Chica Bands has had the honor of being a part of. And, what a great city! EVERGLADES ULTRAS
Exceptional Discount Offer for a Chica Bands™ Sponsored Event! Any runner competing in the 50 mile or 50 kilometer EVERGLADES ULTRAS race will receive a discount code good for 50% off the registration fee for the 2013 KEYS100 and 2013 PALM100 ultramarathons. Runners may apply the discount code to either OR BOTH races.
When: Saturday, February 16, 2013. The 50 mile race start is at 6:00am; cut-off is 8:30pm. The 50 kilometer race begins at 7:00am, with cut-off at 4:30pm. The 25 kilometer race begins at 8:30am with a 2:30pm finish cut-off time.
Where: Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park, Florida’s largest state park, near Everglades City. Among many firsts, the “Fak” boasts the largest variety of orchids and bromeliads on the continent.
Aid Stations: The races are fully aid-station supported. Party tent at the finish with burgers and beverages for race finishers, and lots of space to relax and recover.
